Columbia Agar with 5% Sheep Blood, Colistin and Nalidixic Acid / MacConkey Agar : a two-section Petri plate of CNA/MAC
Only Gram positive bacteria will grow on the CNA side
Only Gram negative bacteria will grow on the MacConkey side
CNA contains 5% sheep blood from a veterinary supervised, controlled herd of donor animals; blood is guaranteed to be from healthy antibiotic-free animals
