Proficiency Test Hemoglobin A1C, Afinion Only 2 X 0.5 mL Liquid Hemolysate Specimens per Testing Event

Samples are for hemoglobin A1C assay (HgbA1c) with Afinion by Axis Shield

Allow the sample to reach room temperature before use; this takes about 30 minutes

Mix sample well by thoroughly shaking the vial for 30 seconds

Inspect the vial to ensure that the sample solution is homogenous

Analyze the sample using procedures described on page 2 (Specimen Collection) and page 3 (Running samples on the Analyzer) of your Afinion procedure manual
